Geri Dolan

Geri Dolan, 83 of Palm Desert, California passed at noon on April 23, 2016. Beloved and spirited through-out her life, she cherished her family and friends; knowing that life was made up of a series of magical moments. Geri was deeply grateful to all those who supported and cared for her, especially in these recent years. Her passion for fashion and artistic flare made her a unique, one-of-a- kind individual. Geri appreciated bold colors, had exquisite taste for style, and embraced warm dialog with interesting people. Prior to her residence in Palm Desert, she lived and journeyed with her devoted husband Bob of over 47 years. Their adventures took them to residences in Oxnard, CA, Newnan, GA, Camarillo, CA, Anaheim, CA, Weymouth, MA, Wichita, KS, and Denver, CO. She is survived by her three children, Timothy E. Dolan of Baku, Azerbaijan, Michael P. Dolan of Big Bear Lake, CA, and Maureen A. Dolan of San Jose, CA; in addition to five grandchildren: Will E. Dolan, Ashland, OR; Aurora K. Dolan, San Francisco, CA; Keenan E. Dolan, Santa Barbara, CA; Sean E. Dolan, Big Bear Lake, CA; and Ryder P. Dolan, Big Bear Lake, CA. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert E. Dolan. Memorial services will be May 7th from 12:00 noon to 1:00 PM at Forest Lawn Chapel in Cathedral City. Internment will be May 9th at 9:30 AM at Riverside National Cemetery. She loved animals and gave generously to the Humane Society. The family suggests that any donations be made to the Humane Society. Her death is not the extinguishing of her light, but the putting out of a lamp because the dawn has come.
