Gerd Enno Roellgen, 50, born on May 27, 1972 in Neuss, Germany passed away tragically in a paragliding accident on May 13, 2023. He is survived by his wife Adrienne Roellgen, his daughter Audrey, his son Lucca, his stepdaughter Emma Thomas, and his sisters Monika Bulich and Meike Kaldenbach. He was preceded in death by his parents Hertha and Werner Roellgen.
After completing an apprenticeship in Austria, Enno went on to earn a master’s degree in Wood Technology in Rosenheim, Germany. Upon completion of his degree, he accepted a position in the San Francisco area where he met his wife, Adrienne.
A master craftsman and a brilliant woodworker, Enno excelled in every position he held. His stellar talent and success were fully recognized when he and his wife opened their family business in the midst of the pandemic.
Enno was a passionate environmentalist who truly believed each one of us can do our part to fight climate change for our future generations. In 2019, motivated by the political and environmental climate, Enno became a U.S citizen and proudly cast his first vote in the 2020 election.
Remember and honor him by doing your part to address climate change in your everyday routines. And like Enno, be kind to one another. He was a good man with an incredibly giant heart. Let his legacy live on through your actions of kindness to one another and our future generations.
His family was his North Star; he was beyond a perfect father, a devoted husband, brother, friend. He was a soccer coach, Boy Scout, nature lover, poet, always a dependable volunteer. Enno said yes when most would say no. He was a dedicated Moenchengladbach fussbal fan, a proud member of his Knapp bei Kasse hometown community, a generous weekly sourdough bread baker, incredible chef. He was an adventurous traveler, skier, hiker, sailor, scuba diver.
But his true passion was flying.
We take solace remembering he died doing what he loved.
Enno will most prominently be remembered for his his warm and welcoming way, his gentle spirit, and his sincere and genuine presence.
We all love you, Enno.
