Gerardo “Gerry” Miguel Villaver, Jr. was born April 10, 1939, in Gumaca, Quezon, Philippines. He is the eldest son of 8 to Florenda and Gerardo Villaver, Sr. Gerry was called home to the Lord on March 25, 2026. He passed away peacefully in his sleep at Memorial Hermann, The Woodlands Medical Center in The Woodlands, Texas.

He migrated from the Philippines to Gardena, California in the early 1970s. For decades he worked in corporate accounting. He was an active parishioner at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church where he was Past Grand Knight with the Knights of Columbus Gardena Valley Council #4038 and a member of the Gardena Rosary Group. Gerry was a founding member of GASCA (Gumaca Association of Southern California), an organization that brought together friends and families for fellowship to celebrate Filipino heritage.

After the passing of his wife, Editha in 2017, Gerry moved to Vista, California to live with his daughter, Geredith and later to The Woodlands, Texas to live with his son Gerald. Gerry was able to spend his last few years in the Philippines where he enjoyed being the neighborhood Lolo to everyone before returning to Texas in 2025.

Gerry was preceded in death by his wife Editha Gumtang Villaver of 49 years. He is survived by his children Geredith Villaver Gonzalez (husband Sal) and Gerald Villaver (wife Camille), his grandchildren Roman Gonzalez, Gabriela Gonzalez, Garrett Villaver and Caiden Villaver, his sister Nemia Villaver Tanada (husband Gerardo), brother Melvin Villaver, Sr. (wife Eleanor), brother Pete Villaver (wife Emma), sister-in-laws Agripina Gumtang Rimando and Rebecca Callada Villaver and many cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

Gerry lived a life full of faith and love for family. His memory will live forever in our hearts.
