Gerard "Jerry" Edward Godinez, 57, born on January 28, 1958, in Ventura, California, passed away April 10, 2015 with his family by his side. His outgoing and loving nature will be greatly missed, but the family finds great comfort in knowing that Jerry has peacefully ascended to heaven into the arms of loved ones that preceded him, including his mother Rita. Through his accomplishments and challenges in life, Jerry displayed an inspirational amount of courage, character, and of course, comedy, that will be forever cherished and passed on. The Godinez family would especially like to thank all the angels of mercy that provided medical treatment, spiritual support, and a loving hand during Jerry's courageous battle with cancer. Family and friends are welcome to join us in the celebration of the time we shared together. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Cypress, California and will be held as shown below.
