Geraldine Ann Sherrill, 81, was born on May 30,1941, in Pittsburg, PA and entered eternal rest on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, in Thousand Oaks, CA. She was surrounded by her family at the end of her life and is now with her Savior, Jesus Christ without pain, tears or sorrow.

As a young girl Geraldine (Gerri as she was known by) was born and raised in Pittsburg, PA until her father's profession moved the family to Hollywood, CA in September 1952. She was raised in the Catholic Church and was confirmed in 1954 at Blessed Sacrament Church. She attended Immaculate Heart High School and graduated in June 1959. She loved the lord with all her heart and became a born-again Christian in her middle life. She was a member of and attended The Church on The Way in Van Nuys, CA. She loved learning about God and his way's and reading the Bible.

She married Mickey Sherrill in June 1961 and took on the responsibility of becoming an instant mother to Betsy and Rick. She and Mickey had 4 children together Terry, Brian, Sandra and Michael. She was a homemaker in her early years as she raised, 4 boys, and 2 girls and worked tirelessly to raise her children. Being a mother brought her joy and we always knew we were loved unconditionally by her.

Later in life she went to work as a bookkeeper for many years. She spent the last 25 years of her career working for The Church on The Way in the Finance Department where she loved her co-workers, and they loved her even more. She loved cake decorating and reading as hobbies and could finish more than a book a day. She was a fantastic cook and baker. She loved to watch the show Outlander and travel. She was fortunate to cruise the Caribbean and travel to the Holy Land in Israel, Ireland, Scotland and many more places she loved. She loved spending time with her family especially at the beach. She was smart, loveable and fun! Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her life's joy.

She is preceded in death by her parents Jerome and Romaine Hoscik, her sister Elizabeth (Liz) Gaddey, her brother-in-law William (Bill) Evans, and her former spouse Mickey Sherrill.

She is survived by her (6) children and their spouses: Betsy & (John) Rodriguez, Rick & (Kendra) Sherrill, Terry Sherrill, Brian Sherrill, Sandra & (Rick) Lee, and Michael & (Nancy) Sherrill. (12) Grandchildren: Melissa, Eric, Karissa, Trevor, Kelsee, Rachel, Krista, Deagon, Dylan, Austin, Olivia and Franklin. (10) Great-Grandchildren: Nathan, Kasey, Chase, Bryden, Willow, Jaxon, Maddox, Lillian, Annabelle and Caroline. She is further survived by her sister Patricia Evans, brother-in-law Robert Gaddey, numerous nephews & nieces as well as numerous great nephews & nieces and many friends.

The family would like to give special thanks to her many physicians, nurses and hospital staff: Da Vita Kidney Dialysis of Thousand Oaks, Thousand Oaks Acute Care, Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center, Vitas Hospice Care, and her care givers at Royal Oaks Inn Assisted Living.

Funeral Services will be held January 19, 2023, at 12:00 PM at Forest Lawn-Hollywood Hills-Old North Church, 6300 Forest Lawn Drive, Los Angeles, CA. Please be seated prior to 12:00PM as services will begin promptly at Noon. Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills, California.
