A husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Gerald Villano, 92, was born in Denver, CO and passed away March 02, 2026. Jerry, as he was known, attended Catholic schools and developed a love of golf and football, a lifelong dedication that began when Jerry and his high school football team went undefeated for an entire season and won the state championship in 1950. Jerry served in the Army during the Korean conflict and upon his return, married his second wife Pat. They had a daughter, Linda and also raised her sons, Gregory and Joseph. Jerry was always employed in the beverage industry and in the late 1960s, relocated his family to Southern California, Jerry quickly found employment but his marriage to Pat ended in divorce. Jerry soon met Becky, the love of his life, and they were married in 1983.
Jerry excelled in his career as a wine and liquor salesman, working for Southern Wine and Spirits for 23 years. He was named Salesman of the Year for his division and helped his team win Team of the Month on multiple occasions over the years. Jerry and Becky shared a love of travel, wining and dining, and visiting the tropics. Favorite destinations included the Caribbean, Italy, Greece, Mexico, and France, where they spent Becky's 40th birthday. Jerry retired in 2008 and in 2009, he was diagnosed with dementia. Over the years, Becky met the challenges of each stage of Jerry's Alzheimer's Disease with grace and fortitude, enrolling him in day care at Alzheimer's Family Center in Huntington Beach, attending support groups, and receiving guidance and support from the Caregiver Resource Center of Orange County. Although Alzheimer's often robs patients of their memories of loved ones, Jerry knew Becky was his beloved wife up until his passing. Arrangements are under the care of Forest Lawn, Cypress, CA.
