Georgia Marie Taleon

Georgia Marie Taleon, age 73, born on June 6, 1948, in Healdsburg, CA to George and Juanita Blunt. She passed away peacefully on September 20, 2021. She resided in Long Beach, CA at the time of her passing.

For over 30 years Georgia worked at St. Mary's Hospital as a nurse in Long Beach, CA. She helped sick children heal and aided mothers with their new babies. It suited her servant's heart. She believed in being kind and helping others. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. She made friends everywhere she went, and her patients loved her for her spirit. She was active in her local church. When she could, she enjoyed working with children, singing in the choir, visiting, and spending time with ill members or new visitors to church.

Her life was a living example of her favorite Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32 — "And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you." Georgia is survived by her husband Rosendo, sister Mary Lou O'Dorne, her three children Marvin Anderson, Angela Weise, and Denise Jones and many wonderful grandchildren, whom she loved and adored deeply.

Please join us in celebrating her life Wednesday morning October 6, between 8:30 a.m. - 10: 30 a.m. at Forest Lawn Mortuary, 1500 East San Antonio Drive, Long Beach, CA 90807. The viewing will be at 8:30, followed by the service at 9:30, concluding with the burial thereafter. There will be a reception held at First Baptist Church at 1000 Pine Avenue, Long Beach, CA 90813 at noon.
