Georgia Ann Norquist

August 1, 1938 — May 2, 2019

Georgia Ann Soliday Norquist (Peachy to her family), age 80, passed away after succumbing bravely to cancer on Thursday, May 2, in Cerritos, CA. Georgia was born on August 1, 1938, in Lead, South Dakota, the second daughter to Frank and Ellen Soliday. She was the beloved wife of Donald Norquist, who predeceased her in 2007, and the adored mother and mother-in-law to four sons and their wives: Ernie and Heather of Palm Harbor, Florida; Frank and Elizabeth of Highlands Ranch, CO; Merle and Rosalie of Long Beach, CA; and Craig and Laura of Paradise Valley, AZ. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and their spouses whom she loved dearly: Dominik and Kim, Roxy and Steve, Madison, MJ, Cody, Sierrah and Savannah, and two great grandchildren, Izabelle and Helena. Georgia observed the world quietly but had a quick wit and strong will. She could usually be found reading a thriller or completing a word search. For those her knew Georgia well, her greatest achievement was raising 4 rambunctious boys, each of whom inherited her gentle heart. Watching her sons make their way in this world, by their unique wits and common devotion to family, was a source of great pride in her. In more recent years she enjoyed watching her grandchildren play baseball and softball. Georgia will be truly missed by all who had the good fortune to know her.
