Georgia Joan Hayes

Georgia Joan Hayes, 92, born on March 14, 1922, in Chicago, Illinois, passed away August 3, 2014. She resided in Newhall, California at the time of her passing. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles, CA.
Georgia is survived by her two children, James Gary Hayes and Donna Boyer, as well as her grandchildren, Brenda McSherry, Scott Hayes, Bryant Hayes, Jessica Boyer and John Boyer, and her great-grandchild, Haley McSherry. She also had two other children, Kathleen Dellinger and Patrick Hayes, that had previously passed away.
Georgia came to California with her husband and three children to escape the bitter winters of Illinois, and to find a better life. Her fourth child was born in California. She went to work for the Los Angeles Unified School District and worked in foodservice for 22 years.
Georgia was a sweet, wonderful person who always put others before herself. Everyone that met her loved her. She will truly be missed.
