Georgette D. Armstrong born October 3, 1932 to William and Denise Lachemann. Georgette passed away peacefully at Eisenhower Medical Center in Palm Desert, California. She was surrounded by family.

Georgette grew up in Southern California and graduated in 1950 from Dorsey High School. She then traveled to Switzerland to pursue her passion for art. She studied art at L'ecole des Beaux Arts in Geneva, Switzerland, L'ecole Professional des Arts Industrial in Paris, France. After moving back to Los Angeles she continued her studies at Art Center in Los Angeles, California. Georgette then chose to pursue a career as a computer specialist. Her training started through the IBM Corporation, in Los Angeles.

Georgette met her first husband, Francois Nazarre, during her extensive travels through Europe. Georgette moved back to Los Angeles with their son George and Francois was to follow after his sponsorship was complete. He met with a tragic accident before this could happen.With the support of her family Georgette worked and raised a son before she met her second husband, of 51 years, Harry K. Armstrong. Together they had three children, Linda, Roxanne and Harry.

In 1959 they moved to Anchorage, Alaska. Georgette had a successful career as computer systems specialist from 1959 to 2000. During this time she worked at the Anchorage Westward Hotel, Alaska Methodist University and Alaska Mutual Savings Bank. In 1985, after raising four children, they moved back to California where Georgette continued to work as a data processing specialist at Mission Hospital until her retirement.

In her retirement, Georgette returned to her love of painting. She especially enjoyed painting in watercolors. You can view her work at georgettestudio.com
In 2006 they moved to Palm Desert, California where she joined and became an active member of the Coachella Valley Watercolor Society.

Georgette was preceded in death by her parents William and Denise Lachemann, Francois Nazarre, Harry K. Armstrong and sister-in-law Darriel Lachemann.

Georgette is survived by her son George Nazarre (Sue), daughter Linda Homan (Chuck), daughter Roxanne Armstrong (Cesar), son Harry M. Armstrong, brother Billy Lachemann, brother Marcel Lachemann (Susie), Rene Lachemann (Laurie), grandson Devin Homan, granddaughter Chelsey Homan and many nephews and nieces.

Georgette will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Bon voyage Mom.
