George Zonos

George Zonos, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2025, in Placentia, California. Born on November 8, 1948, in Davia, Greece, George embarked on a remarkable journey that took him to America in the early 1970s. His entrepreneurial spirit flourished as he opened his first hamburger stand, which marked the beginning of a successful career in the restaurant business. Over the years, he expanded his horizons by opening multiple restaurants and managing properties throughout Southern California, touching the lives of many through his hard work, dedication and generosity.

In 1974, George wed Magy Zonos, the love of his life. Their partnership stood as a testament to devotion and love, providing strength and joy to their family. George’s legacy is further carried on by his children: Jimmy Zonos, Debbie Carrion, Billy Zonos and son-in-law, Adam Carrion.

George was known for his vivacious personality; he was the life of the party, always with a story to tell and a joke ready to go. He embraced life fully and found immense joy in spending time with his grandchildren, Dylan and Madelyn. Whether attending baseball games or cheering at dance competitions, George was a proud and supportive presence in their lives.

Funeral services will be held at St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church in Anaheim, California, on February 20, 2025. The service will begin at 11:00 AM, followed by a gathering to celebrate George's life and legacy. His memory will forever be cherished by his family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
