George was born on August 16, 1927, in Pahalvi, Iran. As a boy, he lost his father at the age of 6, and with his mother having to work to provide for him and his sister, he was brought up by his uncle. George's difficult early childhood became the building blocks of his integrity, work ethic, and generosity.
He found solace in lifting weights and became a top heavyweight powerlifter in Iran.
George became a dental technician in early 1940's, this skill would provide for his family for the rest of his life. He met the love of his life Raya on October 1953 and won her heart. These two lovebirds had extreme financial hardships, yet they always emerged together on the other side. He was always proud of Raya's resilience. He would often remind his family how she used his coat as a blanket, but their love was all the warmth they needed to have four children Annette, Norair, Henry, and Violett.
Around 1960, work was scarce in Tehran, so George immigrated to Kuwait and landed a job making dentures. Due to his impeccable work, his reputation would grow and eventually land him a job as a dental technician at the Amiri Hospital in Kuwait. He was one of the few male technicians invited to make dentures for the Royal Family. Over a few years, his financial situation would change for the better, and eventually, he brings his family to Salmia, Kuwait.
He became a Grandfather while residing in Kuwait to Antranik Boghokian in 1978, and Vrej Boghokian in 1981. His oldest son Norair would move to Califonia to attend La Verne University, where he met the love of his life, Rosine. Eventually, George, Raya, Henry, and Violet would move to Glendale, Ca.
In 1990, He has another Grandson from Norair and Rosine, Andrew Saghians and due to the event of the gulf war, his oldest daughter moves to the United States.
In 1993, His joy increases with two granddaughters Audrey Saghians (Andrew's Sister), and Melanie Adamian (Violett's daughter). His final grandson Eric Adamian, would arrive in 1997.
George loved to be with family, play backgammon, and was always up for a gathering. He was a strong patriarch of his family, a good friend to all, a man who would give his shirt for a friend. He was a good father who always took care of his children and did the best he could to teach and guide them and a loving grandfather. He was a man who had a huge heart for orphans, and for helping people. George was a good and humble man who did anything necessary to provide for his family and help friends.
