George Vieira Perdigao, 76, of Rancho Mirage, California, lost his short but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer on June 1, 2016. George passed away peacefully in his home, with his wife of 54 years, Carolyn, by his side.

George was born on March 19, 1940 to Celestino and Esmeralda Perdigao in Sacramento, California. After excelling at Armijo High School in Fairfield, George earned his bachelor's degree at Sacramento State, and went on to enjoy a successful business careerfirst with the International Harvester Company (ultimately as the owner of his own dealership in Van Nuys), and later as Senior Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer at R.W. Durham & Company in Torrance.

After living in several places across California, George and Carolyn retired to Rancho Mirage in 2001where he enjoyed warm days filled with golf at Mission Hills Country Club and hot hands filled with playing cards at Agua Caliente Casino with the many friends that he made across the desert community.

George also enjoyed traveling with Carolyn, and together they enjoyed many excursions across the globe.

In addition to his wife, George is survived by loving sons, Michael Perdigao (wife Alison) of Encino, Calif.; Chris (wife, Christina) of West Hills, Calif.; daughter, Toni Beauchamp (husband, Scott) of Tiburon, Calif.; mother, Esmeralda Perdigao of Fairfield, Calif.; brother, Victor Perdigao (wife, Angela) of Napa, Calif.; brother-in-law Leon Creager (wife, Charlotte) of Fairfield, Calif.; seven grandchildren (Pryce, Lindsey, Ryder, Cooper, Cash, Jenna, and Easton); and five nephews and nieces.

To celebrate George's life, a service will be held at 9:00 AM on Saturday, June 11 at Forest Lawn in Cathedral City.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in George Perdigao's name to Children's Hospital of Los Angeles.
