Newton, NH: George P. Moulaison, 69, died on Friday, August 12, 2016 at his home, surrounded by his family after a long illness.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts and raised and educated in Nahant and Lynn, he was the son of the late Grant and Theresa (Daley) Moulaison. He graduated from Lynn Classical High School with the Class of 1966 and North Shore Community College.
Mr. Moulaison was first employed at the former Village Green Restaurant in Danvers in several capacities including Manager and later worked for several years as a sales representative for U.S. Tobacco.
In 1970, Mr. Moulaison moved to Newton and established Moulaison Tire Co. which he operated for forty years. Many of his longtime customers maintained their original connection to him because of his hospitality and willingness to take the time to chat and discuss any number of topics with them.
A member of the Boy Scouts of America and an Eagle Scout, Mr. Moulaison was instrumental in the formation of several Troops in the Lynn area. A longtime member of Saint Luke the Evangelist Parish of Newton, he was active in civic affairs and as a corporate supporter of local charity and fundraising events in the area. He was a nature enthusiast and cared for many stray and injured animals that ventured across his property.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Teresita "Tess" (Intervalo) Moulaison, a son and daughter-in-law, Eric J. and Jennifer Moulaison of Dallas, Texas, and two daughters, Britt Moulaison of Boston and Marlena Moulaison of Vermont, a brother and sister-in-law, T. Grant and Mary Ellen Moulaison of Danvers, and nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mr. Moulaison's Life Celebration to be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. His Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday at 10a.m. in Mary Mother of The Church of Saint Luke the Evangelist Parish, Amesbury Rd. Newton NH followed by burial in Willow Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to Merrimack Valley Hospice, Merrimack St., Lawrence, MA.
