With deep sorrow, we inform you of the departing of the servant of God, George Chamaa. on October 17, 2020 in the city of Woodland Hills, son of Elias Chamaa and Yvonne Nasra-Chamaa. He was the husband of late Lilly Sacrouge Chamaa, the father of Myriam Coussa, Marlene Dinu and Claudine Chamaa-Martin, grandfather of RoseAnn and MarieAnn Coussa, Amaury Gidzner, Daniel and Chady Abi-Faraj., brother of Joseph Chamaa, Antoine Chamaa and Aurore Harmouche.

The Funeral & Burial Services will be on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at: Forest Lawn, 6300 Forest Lawn Dr., Los Angeles, CA 90068.
at the white church officiating by Father Fouad Sayegh.

George Chamaa was born in Egypt on March 17, 1927 . He graduated in 1950 with a master's degree in Applied Arts. he married Lily Sacrouge on May 2rd 1954 in Egypt he worked as a graphic designer at Mobil Oil Company in the advertising department. In 1960 moved with his family to Beirut in Lebanon where he worked in advertising agencies as a graphic designer and later as an art director. In 1975 he moved to Kuwait City with his family where he was employed as an advertising manager in an Electronic Retail Company.
In 1985 George immigrated to the USA with his family and in 1987 was hired at Bernardi's Nutrition Program. George Chamaa's illustrious career spans five decades as an internationally exhibited painter, sculptor, ceramic and graphic artist bringing figurative meaning to abstract design.
