Geneva Wanda Faye Cushing

Geneva Wanda Faye Hendrix, was born on November 3, 1935 to William and Gertrude Hendrix in Tuckerman, Arkansas. She passed away on July 9, 2015 in Irvine, California.

Geneva left Arkansas in 1954 and over the next several years made her way to California which was her home for fifty-five years. After a career as a Sales Manager at Forest Lawn in Cypress California, she retired to Huntington Beach with her husband Les Cushing.

Geneva will be remembered as a social and active woman who over the years was involved in community theater, bowling and Toastmasters International. Geneva enjoyed dancing, casino visits and music. She shared her Southern California lifestyle with family and friends.

Geneva is survived by her brother L.C. Lancaster (Wilma); her sister Barbara Siddons; daughter Debra; daughter Melissa (Michael); four grandchildren: Julia, Alex, Marius and Joseph, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Les; her brother Bill Hendrix; and her brother R.V. Lancaster.

Geneva will be remembered at a visitation to be held at Forest Lawn in Cypress, California on Friday July 17, 2015 from 5:00 - 9:00 PM. She is to be interred at a private service on July 23, 2015.
