Gautam Chakrabarti

Our beloved Gautam Chakrabarti, born on July 14, 1942, came to the US on the 1st of January 1970. He married the love of his life, Lisa, and together they brought his brothers to America in search of education, opportunities, and a better life for all. Beginning with a doctorate at UCLA, he continued his incredible passion for his work as an engineer, and refused to miss a day of work if he could help it. His passion shone through everything he did from his work, to caring for his family to rooting for his favorite team, (the Lakers). Gautam was an incredibly generous man whose struggles made him tougher and more kind. He provided a helping hand to anyone who needed it, without a second thought. Intelligent, silly, and loving, he has, and will always stand as the Chakrabarti family rock. His life will be cherished, and his stories will be told for years to come.

On February 4th 2017, he passed peacefully at the age of 74, surrounded by his loved ones. He resided in Los Angeles, California at the time of his passing. A private memorial service will be held for him at Forest Lawn - Covina Hills - Memory Chapel located at 21300 Via Verde Drive Covina, CA 91724; on February 7th at 5-9:30pm.
