Gary Lee

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gary Robert Lee, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, retired police officer, and proud United States Navy veteran who passed away peacefully on May 21, 2026 at the age of 85.

Gary honorably served his country in the United States Navy before dedicating many years of service to his community as a police officer for the City of Newport Beach.  He was respected for his integrity, strength, and quiet dedication to protecting and helping others.  His commitment to duty was matched only by his devotion to his family.  For 63 years he shared a loving marriage with his beloved wife, Diane. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and unconditional love.  He was a proud and caring father to his three children, Jeffrey, Mark and Sheri, and a cherished grandfather to four grandchildren who brought him endless joy and pride.

Gaary will be remembered for his steady presence, wisdom, sense of humor, and the love he gave so freely to those around him.  His legacy of service, compassion, and devotion to family will continue to live on in all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, two children, four grandchildren, extended family, and many friends.  He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
