Gary Lee Kadar

January 1, 1970 — August 12, 2012

Gary Lee Kadar Sr. was born January 1, 1970 in Inglewood, CA. to parents that he treasured and loved with all his heart, Edward W. Kadar Sr. and Gregorita Kadar. He returned to God's Arms on August 12, 2012.
Gary grew up in Southern California with many siblings, nephews, nieces and friends. As a child he was a talented dirt bike rider and was thrilled when he qualified to race at Anaheim Stadium. When he wasn't on the race track he enjoyed riding his pedal bike around his neighborhood with his friends and nephews.
His father was a Master Carpenter, and began taking him to work when he was just 16. Gary caught on to his Father's trade very quickly and became a fine Finish Carpenter himself. He took great pride in his work, and loved building anything and everything with perfection.
Gary met the love of his life, Susan Ives, when he was just 15 at Kennedy High School in Granada Hills, CA. Gary really loved just spending time with Susan, riding her around on the handles of his pedal bike. Gary and Susan shared an untouchable bond that kept them at each other's side no matter what life threw their way. A few years after meeting Susan, they started a family together. Gary was blessed with three beautiful daughters Elizabeth, Jessica and Melissa, and two handsome sons Gary and Andrew. Later in life, he was also blessed with an amazing grandson Gary III and the news of his expected granddaughter, Izabella.
Gary was very devoted to his wife and children. With his family, he enjoyed road trips to visit close relatives, going hiking, riding bikes, and very frequent trips to the beach and Disneyland. Gary's recent hobbies also included golfing and playing baseball on the team at church. Most of all he loved just being around his family at his home, laughing, making jokes and enjoying their happiness.
He always made himself available to anyone in need, from helping a stranger broke down on the road, to buying food for a less fortunate person on the street. Gary had a heart of gold that could be felt by anyone blessed by his presence.
Gary is survived by his wife of 27 years, Susan Marie Kadar, Daughter Elizabeth Marie Kadar 23, future Son-in-Law Manuel Pelayo 26, Son Gary Lee Kadar Jr. 21, Daughter-in-Law Brittney Lee Kadar 22, Son Andrew James Kadar 18, Daughter Jessica Susan Teodora Kadar 15, Daughter Melissa Ann Kadar 13, Grandson Gary Lee Kadar III 3, Granddaughter Izabella Marie Pelayo expected 9/15/12, and Niece Lauren Marie Garcia 23.
He is also survived by his Mother Gregorita Kadar, Mother-In-Law Janet Tranah, Father-in-Law Charles Ives and wife Charlotte Ives, Brother Anthony Garcia, Sister Mary Garcia, Brother Kerry Garcia and Sister-In-Law Carol Garcia, Brother Edward Kadar Jr., Sister-In-Law Kathleen Alvarez and husband Roger Alvarez, Brother Jon Garcia, Sister Kathie Fohrenkam and Brother-In-Law Dominic Fohrenkam, and Brother-In-Law Steven Ives. As well as many Nephews, Nieces, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
He is preceded in death by his Father Edward Kadar Sr., Brother Buddy Garcia, Sister Monique Allen, Brother-in-Law Frederick Ives and wife Delia Ives, Sister-in-Law Deborah Ives, Nephew Richard Garcia, Niece Janet Ives, Niece Lillian Flores and cousin Jamie Harrington.
Gary will be laid to rest in The Garden of Protection at Forest Lawn Memorial in Cypress, CA. Prayer Services will be held Monday, August 20, 2012 from 7-9 p.m. with Funeral and Burial services to follow on August 21, 2012 at 1 p.m.
