Gardner A. Johnson

Danville: Gardner A. Johnson, 76, of Danvile and former longtime resident of Plaistow, died Monday, July 8, 2013 at Exeter Hospital, after being stricken at his home.

Born in Manchester, son of the late Gardner S. and Mary G. (Healey) Johnson, he was raised in Plaistow and attended The Pollard School. He was employed for many years as a truck driver for the Senter Brothers Construction Company of Plaistow until his retirement.

Mr. Johnson enjoyed working in his yard and listening to country music.

The husband of the late Joanne N. (Cranton) Johnson , who died in 1991 and the late Lorraine M. (Eaton) Johnson, who died in 2012, he is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Terry L. and William Moulton of Plaistow, and seven sons and daughters-in-law, Gardner A., Jr. and Tammy Johnson of Danville, Thomas S. and Pamela "Suzy"Johnson of Kingston, Stephen P. and Marie Johnson of Raymond, Richard D. Johnson of Haverhill, MA, Ralph E. Johnson of Haverhill, Matthew D. and Kathy Johnson of Haverhill, and Gregory W. Johnson of Massachusetts, also a brother Gordon Johnson of California and sister Elaine Morasse of Plaistow, twenty-five grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, July 12, 2013 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Route 121A, Plaistow, NH. A private family burial service will take place in Plaistow Cemetery at a later date.
