Plaistow, NH: Frederick H. Dusombre, 70, a resident of Plaistow for the past twelve years and a former resident of Haverhill for most of his life, died on March 23, 2016 at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House.
Born, raised, and educated in Haverhill, son of the late Omer and Marguerite (Belanger) Dusombre, he attended Haverhill Public Schools.
Mr. Dusombre was most recently employed as a carpenter for Westville Homes and had also been employed at Hoyt and Worthen Tannery and Witch City Leather in Newburyport, MA.
A member of Lifeline Baptist Church in Haverhill, Mr. Dusombre played for the Dustin Drifters Softball Team in his younger years. He enjoyed tinkering with and building motors, woodworking, and listening to Country Music. He also enjoyed bowling, both candlepin and ten pin, and was a member of the Jack and Jill League at Pilgrim Lanes in Haverhill. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with and babysitting his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of thirty-eight years, Judith M. (Flynn) Dusombre, three sons, Brian S. Dusombre of Plaistow, Timothy O. Dusombre and his wife Kristine of Danville, and Daniel P. Dusombre and his fiancé Felicia Misenti of Salem, NH, two daughters and sons-in-law, Wendi S. and Frank Walker of Salem, NH, and Shannon L. and Richard Dufresne of Plaistow, three brothers, Leonel Dusombre of Londonderry, Robert Dusombre of Seabrook, and Gilbert Dusombre of Haverhill, four sisters, Helen St. Cyr of Haverhill, Janet Langlois of Haverhill, Sally Hardy of Dover, NH, and Peggy Coruthers of Port Angeles, WA, nine grandchildren, one great grandson, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Richard and John Dusombre, and his sisters, Catherine Descoteaux, Marjorie Chadwick, and Marilyn Daneau.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mr. Dusombre's Life Celebration on Saturday, March 26 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Plaistow, NH. His funeral service will follow at 4:15 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date.
