Franklin Roller, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle, passed away on September 5, 2023, in Covina, California. He was born on March 6, 1938, in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Franklin will always be remembered for his kind and loving nature. He had a heart of gold and was always quick to help others. His sense of humor brightened up any room he entered. Friends and family were blessed to have experienced his unwavering support and infectious laughter.
One of Franklin's greatest joys in life was spending time with his loved ones. He cherished the moments spent talking and connecting with family members. Franklin prioritized quality time with his wife of many years, Roslyn. Their bond was unbreakable and their love for one another served as an inspiration to all who knew them. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, and his beloved children, Anthony and Linda.
Franklin is survived by his son, Michael and daughter-in-law Nanette as well as his son-in-law Dale Taros. He was also a proud grandfather to Anthony and Kayla Roller and Alex Taros, and great-grandfather to Marques Duvenary. Franklin's brother Harry Roller, his sister-in-law Mary Bennett and many nieces and nephews were all an important presence in his life as well.
Aside from being a devoted family man, Franklin found joy in attending his grandchildren's sporting events, cheering for them while Anthony played baseball, Kayla danced and Alex played hockey; he always encouraged them and took immense pride in their accomplishments.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the Visitation event on September 20, 2023, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Forest Lawn - Covina Hills located at 21300 Via Verde Drive in Covina, CA 91724. Following the visitation will be the Funeral Service at the same location from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM.
Franklin touched the lives of many through his kindness, humor, and selflessness. He will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of his loved ones.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice in Franklin's name. Let us remember Franklin Roller not with sadness, but with smiles as we celebrate his remarkable life and the legacy he leaves behind.
