Frank T. Scalfaro, 79, passed away on August 17, 2025, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family in Oxnard, CA. A beloved husband, father, Pop-Pop, brother and friend, Frank touched the lives of many with his wisdom, humor and unwavering love.
Born on August 25, 1945, in Abington, PA, Frank was the eldest of three siblings. He graduated with honors from La Salle University with a B.S. in Finance and later earned an MBA from Southern Illinois University. Frank served as an Army Reservist while starting his career at General Electric. His work would carry his family from Dover, DE (1972-1975) to Daytona Beach, FL (1976-1987) to ultimately West Covina, CA where he retired in 2010 from NavCom Defense Electronics. At the time of his death, he resided in Oxnard, CA.
Frank's greatest joy was traveling with his family and a passion for a great glass of wine. While being on one trip he was already planning the next trip; be it with just the two of them or taking the entire family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Marlene Scalfaro; their eldest son, Frank, his wife Julie and their children Caroline and Cash, as well as Brian, his wife Kristin and their children Ethan, Tyler and Cole. He also leaves behind his brother Tony and his sister Diane.
Funeral mass will be held Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 3175 Telegraph Road, Ventura, CA 93003
