Frank passed away on October 7, 2013 surrounded by his family from complications of an infection. Frank was born to Ronald and Elizabeth Perzanowski in Glen Cove N.Y. Frank moved to Northern California before WWII and met and married Marie Lowry. After the war, they moved to Lynwood, Calif. Frank began his lifelong profession of new home sales, mainly with his brother-in-law, Dell McDaniel at C&M Homes. He worked with them for many years until the late 1960s. For many years, the family lived in Sierra Madre, where he was first on the Planning Commission, then Councilman and finally Mayor. He and Marie had 4 children, Eleanor, Sharleen, Frank Ronald Jr., and John. He also worked for R.A. Watt, Del Webb, and Boise Cascade. In 1968, they moved to Northern California before returning to Southern California in San Diego in 1975, where he was instrumental in getting Rancho San Diego off the ground and planning for the community it is now. In 1990, he and Marie moved to Palm Desert where he lived until 2011. He lived at Grossmont Gardens Assisted Living for 2 years. Frank was always active in his Catholic Parish with the Knights of Columbus and giving communion to the home bound. He is survived by his children, Eleanor, Sharleen and John; his sister, Wanda; step sisters Lillian and Regina. Grandchildren, Heide Hall, Scott Hammerbeck, Michael Bauschelt, Nicole, Colette, David and Michael Daze. Great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jacob, Taylor, Rylee, Mary, Kylee, Logan and Sarah. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Marie of 53 years; his son Ron; brothers, Tony and Mike; sisters Jane, Sally and Christina. Services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Palm Desert on Friday, October 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. A cryptside service will be held at Forest Lawn Cathedral City on October 18, 2013 at 2:30 p.m.
