Frank Hubert Hall

March 12, 1940 — November 15, 2020

Frank Hubert Hall, 80, passed away November 15, 2020 at Kaiser Hospital in Downey, California. He was born on March 12, 1940 in the small town of Goodwill, West Virginia to Ray and Dora Hall. He resided in South Gate, California at the time of his passing. He moved to California to look for work where he met his wife to be, Mary Ann Cass, and where he resided for 60 years. They married in Las Vegas, Nevada and started their family. Frank had a love for his family and always put his wife and children first. He worked hard in the warehouse of Martin Marietta Aerospace to provide a wonderful life for his family.
He is well known for his skill at bowling, and for his love of playing poker, horseshoes, pinochle, the Lotto, Pokeno, slot machines and watching the horse races. He will always be known as a Poker Shark to his family and friends. He is also remembered at family events as being a king at horseshoes and he's always the favorite partner in the game. His humor is most admired by family and friends and would light up a room at every family event. Frank enjoyed traveling to many places including Oklahoma, Pennsylvania and West Virginia to visit close family. Frank also traveled to places including Niagara Falls, Nashville, the Panama Canal, Belize, Costa Rica, Mexico, Alaska, Las Vegas, Laughlin, and one of his favorites, Hawaii.

One of Frank's most treasured roles is that of Grandpa. He watched all of them weekly at their sporting events and was the proudest Grandpa on the field. He drove the grandchildren to school daily and played his beloved country music for them. He told stories and cracked jokes for them, but most of all he loved them. His role as a husband, father and grandfather was the highlight of his life and he shined in this. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Ann; daughter, Roxann; daughter, Shari; daughter Debra and her husband, Joe; grandson, Matthew and his wife, Leslie; and grandaughters, Naomi, Amaya and Zoe. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Dora; his son, Patrick, his brothers, James and Ben (Buddy); his sisters, Sylvia, Violet, and Elsie. He is also survived by his brother Dennis and brother Alvin and sister in law Dorothy (Dotty). Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Cypress, California.
