Frank R. Fellows

Methuen, MA:  Frank R. Fellows, 91, of Methuen, MA and formerly of Kingston, NH and Barrington, NH, died Sunday, November 4, 2012, at his home.

Born in Haverhill, MA, the son of the late George H. and Eva M. L. (Bruyere) Fellows, he was raised in Kingston, NH where he attended local schools.  He was the owner of Fellows Oil Co., Kingston, NH from 1970 until his retirement in 1983.

Mr. Fellows was a member of the Chapel of the Nativity Parish, Barrington, NH and Mary, Mother of the Church Parish, Newton, NH.  At the age of sixteen, he joined the Kingston Fire Department, serving as Fire Chief for several years, until he moved to Barrington, NH in 1983.  He was the Forest Fire Warden for the State of NH for thirty-two years and was a member of many civic committees, both in Kingston and Barrington.

The widower of the late Janet B. (Tozier) Fellows, to whom he was married for sixty-four years until the time of her death in 2008, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Ralph E. and Mary Fellows of Newton, NH; a daughter and son-in-law, Janet Anne and John Shaw of Barrington, NH and daughter, Glenna Zalenski and her fianc, William O - Brien of Methuen, MA; five grandchildren, Jessica (Zalenski) Martin, Katrina Zalenski, Jason Fellows, Douglas Fellows and Dean Winter and fifteen great-grandchildren.  He was predeceased by his grandson, Dale W. Winter.

Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, November 8, 2012, from 4 to 8 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow Village, Plaistow, NH.  His funeral will begin on Friday, November 9, 2012, at 9 AM from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Mary, Mother of the Church, Newton, NH.  Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Bradford, MA.
