Francis Anthony Calley was born on March 29,1936, and entered eternal life on February 7, 2026. He was the eldest son of George Joseph and Mary Teresa Brennan Calley. He grew up in Maybrook, Orange County, New York, where he was a proud big brother to George Joseph and Thomas Peter (“Pete”). A dedicated student from an early age, Frank graduated as valedictorian of his high school class of 13.
After serving in the United States Marine Corps, Frank earned his Bachelor’s degree in Education, with minors in Mathematics and Chemistry, from the University of Michigan in 1960. He then began a distinguished 25-year career with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, retiring as Senior Supervisory Resident Agent. Frank served with great pride and integrity. Following his retirement from the FBI, Frank continued his investigative work where he led anti-piracy efforts for the Motion Picture Association of America and later as a private investigator.
Frank is survived by his loving wife, Hazel Inez (“Inez”); his brother, George (MaryAnn); his children, Francine (Wayne) Marshall, Matthew Calley, Cheryl (Christopher) Reid, Timothy (Jennifer) Calley, and Rebecca (Ev) Stanton; and his stepsons, John (Michele) Shaver, Robert (Kelly) Shaver, Neal (Robin) Shaver, and Steven (Lisa) Shaver. He was a proud grandfather to 27 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations be made to the Former Agents of the FBI Foundation https://www.socxfbi.org or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital https://www.stjude.org
