Francesco Pietro Altomare

October 25, 1940 — February 4, 2013

We welcome you to the celebration of life and in-urnment for Francesco Pietro Altomare."Franco". Loving husband and dedicated father. Papa to two loving pets, Thunder and Araceli. For those of you who didn't know, Franco was born in Cosenza, Italy on October 25, 1940 and is also survived by three sisters. Still residing in Italy.

Along with his precious Kimberly and Amedeo, Franco has left many friends that have expressed there loss and sadness. The food Industry, especially the Italian food industry runs very much as a family event, for profit. The words I have heard form Franco's extended family definitely have this flavour. Relationship, extended family, a willingness to feed the world. From all I have heard it was one of the joys of Franco's life to feed and bring happines to the world that walked through his doors, business or home. Quote, "whenever someone came from out of town for a visit, it was a guarantee they would be fed by Franco.

Even with the last years of illness Franco still maintained discipline in his personal life. Soccer Matches, the Food Network and Days of our Lives still had a time and channel. Franco, Kimberly and Amedeo had dates in front of the TV. And in earlier times Franco would enjoy Catalina and the sea, as Amedeo had told me, in Ittalian, Altomare means, "deep sea".

Just to remind you that the little notes and sidebars of our lives are mere vehicles and reminders of what we are truly about, and that is, and ever will be our Relationships. Our memories have as much to do with a who as a what when or where. God is in the essnce and source of that Spiritual fact. We knew Franco… we knew an aspect of God. Franco knew us… he knew an aspect of God.

As we all have had memories of our relationship with Franco, Kimberly and Amedeo would welcome you to feel free to share or own stories here with us.

We would like to leave you with this wonderful thought that you would take with you from here: Death is not extinguishing the light, it is merely turning off the lamp for the dawn has come.
