Frances Louise Keller, a life-long Californian, passed away Monday, April 29, 2013 at Long Beach Memorial Hospital. A loving and beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend, Frances is survived by her sister, Carol Stenberg, and brother-in-law, James Stenberg. Frances was generous and thoughtful, always giving to others. She was exceptionally kind to her nieces and nephew: Susan, Pamela and Byron, Byron's wife Rosa, and grand-nieces: Terri Lynn, Amber, Amanda, Alyssa and Ariana.
Frances and her sister Carol grew up together in Los Angeles, and Frances graduated from George Washington High School in 1945. The two sisters went to the movies together, and remembered Los Angeles in its heyday of street cars, the beach and sunshine. As an adult, Frances was a gifted manager, enjoying a 38-year career with Pacific Telephone, then working an additional ten years with Pacificare. She loved listening to sports radio, was a dedicated Lakers fan, and used to root for the Angels baseball team at the old Gilmore stadium. She had a sweet tooth, supported many charities, and always had treats and kind words for the cats which found their way to her doorstep.
Her memory will be with us always.
