Frances Joan Carlson

Frances Joan Carlson was born on September 15, 1923 in Tarentum, Pennsylvania and passed away on August 26, 2012 in Glendale. She moved to Atwater in Los Angeles and worked in the banking industry in Downtown Los Angeles. Fran spent many evenings with her friends at places such as the Hollywood Palladium dancing to big band music in the 1940s. In 1954, she married Bob Carlson and they were married for nearly 45 years prior to Bob's passing in 1999.

Fran was a devoted wife and a wonderful mother to her two daughters, Sharlene and Michele. She loved being a grandma to her granddaughter, Kelly. She will be missed each day by her family and friends who loved her.

A memorial service will be held on September 15 at 12 noon at Little Church of the Flowers at Forest Lawn, Glendale. Wear something red in Fran's memory. Please join the family for luncheon immediately following at the Tam O'Shanter restaurant.
