Fola Louise McKim, 89, passed away June 16, 2012, at home in Palm Desert California. She was born on October 8, 1922, in Porum, Oklahoma, to William Lee and Alsie Miller Phillips. Fola was preceded in death by her loving husband of 40 years, W.L. Fortner, Jr., in 1979. She married Russell C. McKim in Glendale, California in October 1987 after which they relocated to their new home in Palm Desert, California. She is survived by her husband, Russell McKim, daughter Brenda Fortner of Palm Desert, son Bill Fortner and his wife Paula of Burbank, and stepson Dennis McKim and his wife Sue of Yorba Linda, four grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. The crypt-side service will be held on Friday, June 29, at 11:00 a.m. in the Courts of Remembrance, Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles, CA.
