Flordeliza Herrera

September 22, 1938 — April 1, 2026

It is with profound respect and heartfelt sorrow that we commemorate the life of Flordeliza Herrera, affectionately known as Delly, who passed away on April 1, 2026, in Los Alamitos, California. Born on September 22, 1938, in Samal, Bataan, Flordeliza’s journey through life was marked by resilience, dedication, and an unwavering love for her family and community.

Flordeliza’s academic path was distinguished by her graduation from the University of Santo Tomas with a degree in Accounting, a foundation upon which she built a remarkable career. After migrating to the United States in 1983, she demonstrated admirable determination by restarting her banking career, rising through the ranks from an entry-level position to become a respected bank officer and eventually serving as Vice President of the Credit Services Department until her retirement in 2007. Her professional journey spanned nearly two decades, during which she earned great pride in her work and made a significant impact in her field.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Flordeliza cherished the moments she spent with her family, especially during holidays and special occasions. Her devotion to her loved ones was a defining feature of her life, enriching the bonds she held dear. After retirement, she and her beloved husband, Benito Herrera, relocated to Las Vegas, where they joined her sister Victoria and brother-in-law Marcial as neighbors. Together, they delighted in the vibrant entertainment the city offered—frequenting casinos, enjoying captivating shows, and savoring culinary adventures. Flordeliza also embraced the joy of travel with her siblings and extended family, creating treasured memories that endured richly in the hearts of all who knew her.

Flordeliza’s surviving family members include her daughters Theresa Espino (Nato) and Sharon Herrera; her cherished grandchildren Rachel (Jon), Michael, Christopher (Sara), Patrick, Erika, Katrina, and Jade; as well as her beloved great-grandchildren Rylan, Rory, Jaxson, Isla, and Autumn. She is also lovingly remembered by her sisters Veronidia, Felonila, Victoria, Potenciana, and Josephine. Their presence serves as a testament to the enduring legacy Flordeliza leaves behind—a tapestry woven with love, strength, and familial unity.

We also pause to honor those family members who have preceded her in death: her devoted husband, Benito Herrera; daughter Rouella Herrera; brothers Idel and Hercules Saldana; and sister Cleopatra Roman. Their memory remains forever etched in the story of her life.

The community will gather to celebrate Flordeliza’s life and bid her a dignified farewell at a Funeral Service held on April 21, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn - Cypress, Church of Our Fathers, located at 4471 Lincoln Avenue, Cypress, California.
