Florabel R. Urbano

It is with great sadness that the family of Florabel Rivera Urbano announces her passing on July 16, 2018 at the age of 49. Florabel was born on February 14, 1969 in Guam. She grew up in Cerritos, California and attended the University of California, Irvine, where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences. Florabel was a Dental Hygienist at a prominent dental office at the time of her passing. She touched the lives of so many with her kind heart, her contagious, unforgettable laugh, and her generous nature. An avid dog lover and creative scrapbooker, Florabel lived her life devoted to God and dedicated to those she loved.

Florabel will be lovingly remembered by her parents, Rolando and Carmen Fortin, her parents in-law, Pete and Emily Urbano, her sisters, Melanie Baloloy and Lorna Fortin, her brothers in-law, Bryant Baloloy and Brian Urbano, and her two nephews, Matthew (married to Vanessa Diaz) and Zachary Baloloy. She will also be fondly remembered by her numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, extended family and dear friends. Florabel was predeceased by her husband, Michael Patrick Urbano.

A viewing service for Florabel will be held on Thursday, July 26th from 5-9pm at Forest Lawn Cypress in the Chapel, 4471 Lincoln Ave., Cypress, CA 90630. A mass will be celebrated in memory of Florabel Urbano on Friday, July 27th at 10am at St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church, 12001 214th St., Hawaiian Gardens, CA 90716. Burial and reception to follow.
