Felix "Juan" Miguel Valles

Felix "Juan" Miguel Valles, 72, born on September 29, 1945, in Parral, Chihuahua, Mexico, passed away surrounded by his family on December 6, 2017. He resided in Downey, California at the time of his passing. Felix is survived by his wife Rosa of 51 years, daughters Molly Toledano, Terri Valles, Norma (Matthew) Mower, Veronica Valles, Vanessa Valles, sisters Christina Martin, Graciela Valles, Rosa (Enrique) Rodriguez, brother Enrique Valles, grandsons Luis Toledano, Joshua Gonzales and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Felix worked as an elevator mechanic for 30+years for Golden State Elevator Service until he was forced to retire due to his illness. He enjoyed bowling, basketball, cycling, football, and tinkering in the garage on the weekends. Felix was always there to lend a helping hand to his family and friends. His friendly nature made him the unofficial greeter in his neighborhood. He was well known, respected, and loved by his fellow "Island" neighbors.

Visitation will be from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn - Cypress - Church of Our Fathers with prayer vigil/rosary from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 18, 2017, located at 4471 Lincoln Avenue Cypress, California 90630. Funeral services for Felix will be at Our Lady of Perpetual Help on Tuesday, December 19 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., located at 10727 Downey Avenue Downey, California, 90241. Following the church services, Felix will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn - Long Beach - Garden of Our Lady of Guadalupe, located at 1500 East San Antonio Drive Long Beach, California 90807.
