Felix Antonio Jimenez, 64, passed away November 27, 2012. He resided in Los Angeles, California at the time of his passing.
Antonio was born on August 30, 1948 to Alberto Jimenez and Pomponia Lopez in Guayaquil, Ecuador. In 1970, he joined the Ecuadorian Army. That same year, he married Gladys Merchan and together they would have two children. In 1976, they both decided to move to the United States to be closer to his mother, who had moved previously and in pursuit of the "American Dream."
In 1978, he joined the engineering trade and worked at Magnetika, Inc. a leading supplier of high reliability magnetic components and assemblies to the military, aerospace, and industrial markets, as a Machine Operator for 34 years.
Antonio was proud to be an American and in 1995, became a Naturalized United States Citizen. Education was of great importance to him. He always encouraged his children to get an education and was very proud when they both graduated from college. He was a great provider and a proud grandfather; his 4th grandson would carry his name.
Preceding him in death were his mother, Pomponia Lopez and father, Alberto Jimenez.
Antonio leaves to cherish his memory: wife of 42 years, Gladys Jimenez; one son, Erick Jimenez; one daughter, Judy James (husband Zane James); four grandsons: Cristian Jimenez, Joshua James, Jeremiah Jimenez and Jacob James; four brothers: Abraham Jimenez, Luis Jimenez, Carlos Quinto and Freddy Jimenez; five sisters: Gladys Grijalva, Esther Jimenez, Mary Fernandez, Alina Jimenez and Ana Parra.
He leaves countless cousins, nephews and nieces who grew up with him, and many more who met him later in life. He leaves longtime friends, and many more who enjoyed and loved their time with him.
