Felimon A. Soria

Felimon Arquero Soria, 76, of Narvacan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, died 01 July 2016 at Kindred Hospital San Gabriel with his loving and ever devoted wife, Evelyn, by his side. Born 22 November 1939, he was the elder of two sons of Castulo Soria and Rita Arquero.

The relatives and friends of Felimon and Evelyn A. Soria are invited to attend the funeral service of Felimon at St. Louise de Marillac on Saturday, 16 July 2016 at 12pm. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Glendale following the funeral service. Visitation will be available Friday, 15 July from 12:30-4pm and 5pm-9pm with Rosary at 7pm at Forest Lawn Covina.

Felimon immigrated to California in 1966 where he met Evelyn Abonal at a dance. They married in 1969 in San Diego and soon started their family in Los Angeles. They moved to Covina in 1976.

In 1975 Felimon began a long career serving the Covina and surrounding communities as a physician for 30 years. Along with his private practice near downtown Covina, he also served as Chief of Staff at Glendora Community Hospital and as Chairman of the Board of Covina Valley Hospital. In addition to serving his patients, he also served the United States as a Medical Captain in the Army Reserves and did several Medical Missionaries in the Philippines. After his retirement in 2005, he continued to contribute his gifts and serve others providing care at various methadone clinics in the Los Angeles area.

Fil, affectionately called by his friends, had a generous spirit, kind heart, and infectious smile. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Felimon is survived by his wife, Evelyn, his daughter, Marlu, his sons Andrew and Steven, his grandson, Zephyr, brother Wilfredo and his wife Julie and their sons Alan and Brian and many, many more family members and loved ones. Felimon was preceded in death by his parents and aunt, Felisa Arquero.
