Feliciano V. Gil

Feliciano V. Gil, 77, of Sherman Oaks California passed away on Monday July 21, 2014. He was surrounded by his family and his wife of 60 years, Gloria Gil. "Gil" led an amazing life and will be deeply missed by his family, friends and business associates.

Gil was born in San Antonio Texas. At the age of 17, he moved to Los Angeles with his wife Gloria, where they settled down in Echo Park. As their family grew they moved to Sun Valley. There, he became very active in the community and the Sun Valley Little League. Along with his "Compa" Gilbert Borboa, they coached and managed the Sun Valley Indians team for over 10 years. In the 1970's, Gil founded and coached an International Little League team that traveled and competed in various parts of Mexico and the United States. As his love of baseball grew, he became passionate about his LA Dodgers. He was a season ticket holder for 20 years.

As an entrepreneur he founded two successful companies. While his passion for business and baseball were great, they always came second to his love for his family. Family outings always included trips to Disneyland, Dodger games and endless days swimming in the backyard pool.
He is survived by his wife Gloria Gil, sisters Teresa Gil, Sister Feliz-Gil Jimenez and Elia Kelley. Gil was preceded in death by his parents Emmanuel and Feliz Gil, son Raymond Gil, his sister Rita Zapata, brothers Thomas and Fidel Gil, and daughter- in-law Kathleen Gil.

He was Dad to Felix, Debra (Mike), Carrie (Stuart) and Michael; Grandpa to Melissa Gil Stone, Gloria Hernandez, Michael Bartley, Danielle and Valerie Slakoff; Great-Grandpa to Calleigh and Camdyn Stone.

He was our #1 Dad, #1 Grandpa, #1 Friend and #1Husband!
