Feliciana Guinto Reyes, 91, born on June 25, 1927 in Arayat, Pampanga, Philippines passed away December 22, 2018.

Feliciana was the only daughter (out of 4 siblings) from her parents Juan Guinto and Consolacion Canlas and she has other sisters from her father's side.

Feliciana was a World War 2 veteran in the Philippines. She served as a nurse assistant/medic in the province of Dumaguete, treating and taking care of wounded soldiers. When the war ended, she came back to Luzon to finish her studies.

She graduated Valedictorian in high school in Pampanga and received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from St. Paul's University. She went to the United States of America and studied Masters of Nursing in Delaware. After graduation, she went back to the Philippines and worked in the University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City at the infirmary. She worked at the University Infirmary for over 30 years, serving and retiring as its Chief Nurse.

Feliciana married Anacleto B. Reyes, a businessman in March,1968. They had 2 children, Fernando and Roberto Reyes. Following the passing of her husband in August,1983 Feliciana became a widow and single parent taking care of both boys.

She immigrated to the United States in 1992 to join her older son Fernando and his family. Feliciana was the proud grandmother of Gabrielle Afan Reyes and Matthew Blaise Reyes. She resided many years both in Pennsylvania and in California, notably in Stockton with Fernando's family and in the last 10 years with Roberto in Los Angeles area.

Feliciana was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Even before and throughout her marriage, she supported and helped her other siblings, nephews and nieces while she was working. She was a devoted, caring mother and grandmother. Feliciana was a consumate cook and was known for her many delicious Filipino dishes. She enjoyed gardening and sewing. She was a devout Catholic who prayed frequently, up to the time she passed away.

Feliciana is survived by her sons Fernando and Roberto, her daughter-in-law Margarita and grandchildren Gabrielle and Matthew. She was beloved by her sisters, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Anacleto, her parents and her loved ones that have gone on before her.
