Faye Carol Kerns

September 5, 1929 — February 10, 2020

Faye Carol Kerns passed away February 10, 2020 in Duarte, California. We had planned to honor her life with a traditional memorial service on April 4th. Family and friends had planned to travel in from across the nation. Unfortunately due to the corona virus, we are postponing the traditional service for a later date. However we still plan to honor Faye Kerns on April 4th.

Faye was born in Oakland, California. She lived a life of love, generosity, kindness, and creativity. She loved us and we loved her. Her final words were, "I love you." Wherever you are on April 4th, we invite you to honor Faye by doing an act of extraordinary kindness and generosity. She was particularly kind and generous to those who were sick or afraid. If Faye were alive right now, she would be generously responding to the needs surrounding the corona virus. Remembering how she loved us, we invite you to share her love with those around you on April 4th.

Please feel free to share stories and photos of Faye on this obituary page. And after April 4th, we invite you to also share about how you honored Faye on April 4th.

As you grieve the loss of Faye and as you shoulder your ordinary life concerns and the concerns surrounding the virus, please know you were deeply loved by Faye. Perhaps you didn't know Faye. Maybe you are reading this obituary because you love someone who loved Faye. In that case, Faye would have loved you, too, because you loved someone she loved.

We encourage all who loved Faye to honor her memory with some type of direct and personal act of kindness and generosity on April 4th. Beyond that, if you wish to make a monetary donation in Faye's honor, please consider donating to either Project Linus or World Wildlife Fund. See the following donation links:
