It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Evelyn Artuz Papa, lovingly known as Eve, who peacefully left this world on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at the age of 77, surrounded by her devoted children. Born on November 19, 1948, in Manila, Philippines, to Jose and Jovita Diaz Artuz, Eve grew up in a close-knit family that shaped her gentle and kind spirit.
In January 1976, Eve embarked on a new chapter of her life, immigrating to the United States with her mother and siblings. She shared nearly 44 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Dante Papa, until his passing in February 2024. Together, they nurtured their children, Mark and Kristine, in a life filled with love and simplicity.
Eve dedicated 22 years to a fulfilling career with the Atlantic Richfield Oil Company’s (ARCO) refinery accounting group. Following her retirement, she embraced her passions with enthusiasm—immersing herself in crafting, floral design, oil painting, traveling, and casino hopping. Known for her warmth, generosity, and gentle nature, Eve touched the lives of all who knew her and will be deeply missed.
The Artuz-Papa family extends their gratitude for the outpouring of support during this time. Visitation and funeral services will be open to all who wish to honor and celebrate Eve’s remarkable life.
