Evelyn Elaine Gonzales (known affectionately by all as Tina), age 68, passed away July 24, 2026. She resided in Cherry Valley, CA at the time of her passing.

Tina was born on June 11, 1958, in Los Angeles, California to Filiberto and Evangeline Martinez. She was a devoted wife for 47 years to Charlie, loving mother to her 2 children Joey and Nola, and proud grandmother to 4 grandchildren, Jazelle, Thomas, Bonnie, and James. Tina's deep love also extended to her daughter-in-law Christina and Son-in-law Jay, whom she treated with the same love and adoration as her own children.

After completing 14 years providing for her family as a grocery checker, she spent the next 25 years caring for her mother in her home. Throughout her life she enjoyed gardening, decorating her home, making diamond art, and streaming her favorite movies and television series from many different genres.

In addition to her parents, Tina was preceded in death by her brothers Danny, David, Tony, and Gilbert.

Tina is survived by her husband Charlie, son Joey and daughter-in-law Christina, granddaughter Jazelle, daughter Nola and son-in-law Jay, grandchildren Thomas, Bonnie, and James, brothers Johnny and Manuel, and lovingly remembered by many extended family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held Friday, August 7th at 1:00pm at Forest Lawn Covina Hills in the Tribute Center located at 21300 Via Verde Drive, Covina CA 91724.
