Evangelina Vidal

Evangelina Vidal, 58, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2017 in La Quinta, California, a place she called home.

She is survived by her husband, Gerardo Vidal, of 54 years; her 4 children, Bryan Hinchliffe, George Bojorquez, Gilbert Bojorquez, and Evangelina Silvas; 3 step children, Amanda Vidal, Elena Vidal, and Jerry Vidal; her 10 grandchildren; and many close family and friends.

Born on August 6, 1958, to Margarita Morales and Enrique Reyes and raised in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico.

She married Gerardo Vidal on April 15, 2000. She worked as a caregiver and assistant her whole life, ensuring she never saw the people whom she worked for as part of her work, but as an extension of her family treating them with the utmost care and respect. She was an active member of the Catholic Church and found joy; in giving to the less fortunate and considered herself blessed and wanted to share her wealth. Eva was an amazing caregiver, cook, homemaker, sister, daughter, and above all, mother and wife. She was kind, thoughtful, loving, caring, attentive and loyal to her faith and everyone that surrounded her. Eva's life was defined by her love for family and friends, and her devotion to her faith. She will be missed, but we all find comfort in knowing we will all see her again in our next life.

Eva, and family, wish to extend appreciation and gratitude to all the doctors, nurses, and medical professionals for their aid and guidance through these unfortunate times.
