Eva Morales

Eva Morales, 91, of Buena Park, California, passed away peacefully at her home on March 6, 2026.

Eva was born in Chihuahua, Mexico, in 1935 to Juan and Eloisa Acosta, who lovingly nicknamed her “Chiqurin” as a child. She grew up in Chihuahua, completed her education, and began working at a bank while actively participating in social clubs as a young adult.

One day, she met Guillermo Morales—whom she kept on his toes until they married in his hometown of Juárez, Mexico. They began their life together there and welcomed three sons: Jesse William Morales (1955), Robert Morales (1957), and David Morales (1959).

When their boys reached grade school age, Eva and Guillermo moved to Los Angeles, California, where much of her family had settled years earlier. On November 22, 1963, they began this new chapter in the United States. Eight years later, they relocated to Buena Park, and soon after, welcomed their fourth child, Edwardo Morales (1974). Shortly thereafter, they moved into their home on Tamarack Way, where Eva would remain for the rest of her life.

Over the years, Eva’s family grew to include five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Her home became the heart of the family—a gathering place filled with love, laughter, and celebration. For more than five decades, Tamarack Way hosted birthdays, Christmases, New Year’s celebrations, quinceañeras, baby showers, Mother’s Days, Father’s Days, Halloweens, Easters, Fourth of July festivities, Thanksgivings, and countless other special moments. If there was a reason to celebrate, Eva made it memorable. As she would have wanted, her home will continue to bring family together for years to come.

Eva instilled the importance of family in everyone blessed to know her. Known to many as “Mama Eva,” she was a strong-willed, confident woman who loved dancing, cooking, and above all, her familia.

Eva is survived by her sons Robert Morales and Eddie Morales; her grandchildren Delia (Morales) Jeffrey and her husband Chris Jeffrey, Vera Christine Morales, Delory Morales, and Ashley (Morales) Garcia and her husband Paul Garcia; her great-grandchildren Michael Jeffrey, Mia Morales, Logan Morales, Noah Morales, Emma Garcia, Andrew Garcia, her daughter-in-law Donna Morales (Jesse) and her sister Elva (Acosta) Recio; as well as many other beloved family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Juan and Eloisa Acosta; her husband Guillermo Morales; her sons Jesse Morales and David Morales; her grandson William Morales; and her siblings Robert Acosta, Lupita (Acosta) Sevilla, and Aurelia (Acosta) Lopez.
