Eugenia Miguelina Pacheco, 83, born on September 29, 1932 in Guayaquil, Ecuador, passed away April 10, 2016. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles, California.

Eugenia lived in North Hollywood, California, at the time of her death. She had immigrated from Guayaquil to the Los Angeles area in the early 1960's to join members of her family who had previously settled in L.A. Eugenia worked for many years at the ITT aerospace facility in Burbank, where she was known by her many friends as "Gina." She retired about ten years ago, but she remained active in taking good care of her home and interacting with her family. Eugenia also liked to travel, including several trips by bus and by train through Europe, cruises with family and friends to the Mexican Riviera and to Mediterranean ports, and most recently a trip to the Grand Canyon with her niece Berenice and her brother-in-law Paul.

Eugenia lived her life as a single woman, but she provided a home for, and parenting of her nephews Bernardo, Xavier and Jorge Vintimilla while they grew up in Glendale and North Hollywood.

Eugenia was a life-long practicing Catholic and she was active in her home parish of St. Patrick's. A funeral mass will be said for Eugenia at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Saint Patrick's Catholic Church, 6160 Cartwright Avenue, North Hollywood, CA 91606; (818) 752-3240.

A beloved sister, aunt and great aunt, she was surrounded by family and close friends in her final days. She is survived by her sisters Gladys Delgado and Theresa Pacheco, her brother-in-law Paul Deibelher nieces Ibelisse Guerra, Berenice Alvear, Annabelle Pacheco, her nephews Louis Pacheco, Jorge Vintimilla, Xavier Vintimilla, Bernardo Vintimilla, and Joe Delgado, and grand-nieces and grand-nephews Alexxis, Andrew and Steven Pacheco, Jonathan, Christian and Jovanna Rodriguez, Anicia Vintimilla, Terri Anderson, Mayra Vintimilla, Tiffany Delgado, Veronica Vintimilla, Alexandria Vintimilla, and Xavier Vintimilla, Jr., and Carla, Marcello and Felipe Guerra, Daniella and Andrea Ribadeneira.
