Eugene Foster (74) was the ninth child born to the late William and Fannie Mae Hill Foster in Birmingham, Alabama. He was born December 19, 1943. Three brothers and three sisters preceded him in death. Eugene was baptized at Macedonia Seventeenth Street Baptist Church at an early age and attended Sunday School and Church there, sang in the youth choir and participated in other youth activities, he loved Vacation Bible School and made several art pieces that he carried home. He attended Tarrant Elementary and Junior High Schools and graduated from Hooper City High School in 1962 with an Advanced Academic Diploma. He showed great academic promise in high school and was very talented in art. He enjoyed reading comic books and sketching comic book characters. His odd jobs included cutting lawns for nearby neighbors with his daddy and older brother.

After graduating from high school, Eugene moved to California to live with his oldest brother, Reginald. After a year, he enlisted into the United States Air Force. While in the Air Force he completed several courses in electronics as well as Air Police supervisory courses. He served three years in the Air Force which included a temporary duty in Vietnam before he met with unfortunate circumstances which caused him to leave the military with a medical disability.

He departed this life on March 5, 2018 at 10:00pm. Eugene leaves to cherish his memory: one brother, Roland Foster & sister-in-law, Louise of Atlanta, GA, two sisters: Nadine James of Inglewood, CA., Delores Cheeks & brother-in-law, Fred of Birmingham, AL: eight nieces: Regina Foster, Norma Kyle, Vickie Wynn, Yolanda Cheeks, Valerie Evans, Linda Evans-Dawkins (and husband Johnny Dawkins), Rosalind Sullivan (and husband Barry), Tanena Evans, seven nephews: John M. Evans, Jr., Ronald D. Evans; Martin L. Evans (and wife Erica Evans), Ryan Foster, Roland Foster, Jr. (and wife Kimberly), Herman Macon and Fred Cheeks, Jr.; six grandnieces: Alise M. Evans, Elizabeth McConnell, Michelle Evans, Jada & Journey Foster, Jai Foster, four grandnephews: Jackie "Jackpot" Ray Wynn, Jalan, Jordan & Joshua Foster and a host of other relatives and friends.
