Etta Mae Girton

Etta Mae Girton, 87, of Indio, California passed away December 31, 2017 in La Quinta, California. She was born March 12, 1930 to Walter Grisham and Margaret Ellen Grisham in Tulare, California. She married Samuel Girton on October 18, 1947 in Tulare, California. She was a homemaker and was employed at Desert Sands Unified School District for 15 years. She is survived by daughters, Nancee Simpson of Indio, California, Cindy Tucker of Indio, California, Margaret Rembold of Indio, California, Michele Keeran of Bermuda Dunes, California and Sandra Evers of Duluth, Minnesota. Etta Mae Girton had 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Samuel Girton and her daughter Linda Barton. Visitation will be January 6, 2018 with a Memorial Service at 12:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn, Coachella, California, Burial will be January 10, 2018 at Coachella Valley Cemetery with Forest Lawn, Coachella, California in charge of arrangements.
