Ethel Robinson Milburn was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on May 7,1936. She was born with her twin brother Earl as the fifth/sixth children born to Ethel Rita Smith and Edwin David Robinson, Sr. She attended Joseph S. Clark Senior High and graduated in 1956. She continued her studies at Sidney Collier School of Cosmetology and Straight Business College in New Orleans, Louisiana. After attending Straight Business College she held a position at Robert Hall Department Store until it's closing in 1970. She also worked at the Delta Theater, Milburn's Radio & TV Repair and the New Orleans Blood Center until her son Henry, Jr. was born at which time she became a stay-at-home parent. In 1992, her moved to Long Beach California afforded her opportunities to work in the Long Beach Unified School District as a Recreation Aide at Roosevelt, and Riley Elementary Schools.
Ethel was baptized at an early age and was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church & Franklin Avenue Baptist Church in New Orleans, Louisiana. After moving to Long Beach, California she became a member of Bible Believers Missionary Baptist Church in Cerritos, California.
She was married to and widowed by Alvin F. Scott. This union produced her eldest daughter Pamella Ann. Her second marriage was to Henry Noy Milburn, Sr. and through this union Luana and Henry, Jr. were born.  
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, shopping, the sound of the slot machines, and loved her ScFy cable channel. Ethel was called to eternal rest on January 3,2016. Preceding her in death are her parents, four brothers (Edwin, Jr., Paul, Frank, and Earl).  All who knew her will miss her. She leaves to cherish her memories, her children Pamella Ann, Luana (Anthony) and Henry, Jr. (Valerie), grandchildren (Anaya D. Wesley, Anthony B. Wesley, ll, Jeremiah Green and Akeem Milburn); three brothers (Albert, Sr. (Lela), Melvin, Sr. (Rose) & Herbert, Sr.); two sisters, (Hilda R. Stamps and Evelyn R. Harrison (Joseph); and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.Â
