Esperanza came from a big family of 21 kids and is also survived by siblings, nieces and nephews from the Sacramento area.
Esperanza was a Godmother to many Godchildren.
She was a strong, beautiful and elegant woman. She had the best sense of humor and an infectious laugh. She was highly respected by all who knew her.
She was a true Dodger fan and enjoyed watching true crime TV.
Hope was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking and feeding people who came to her home. She hosted the best parties. Christmas and Thanksgiving were always important to her as she would go out of her way to have the most delicious food prepared for her family and friends. She gave the best Christmas and Birthday gifts. She loved decorating her home for Halloween and always had the best costumes.
Her joy in life was her job as a nurse for over 50 years. She worked in 29 Palms, then Indio Community Hospital and retired from JFK Memorial Hospital at the age of 77. She trained many up and coming nurses who respected and feared her, but that meant that you were learning from the best. Her patients were her main focus throughout her career. Wherever she went she would encounter her patients and they were always thankful for the care she gave to them. Her coworkers at JFK meant so much to her as she spent a lot of time with them during and after work.
No one compares to Hope, she was one of a kind. We will miss those big beautiful eyes and fake lashes and ruby red lips. She will forever be in our hearts and memories and will be truly missed by her family and all who knew her.
