Obituary for Esperanza Crisostomo
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Esperanza Crisostomo, a beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished friend. She touched the lives of many and her legacy will forever be remembered as one filled with love, generosity, and unwavering dedication.
Esperanza was born on February 22, 1947, in Malabon, Manila, Philippines. From a young age, she showed exceptional intellect and a thirst for knowledge. Her academic talent shone brightly as she consistently excelled in her studies, earning numerous honors and medals. Her pursuit of higher education led her to the prestigious University of the East, where she obtained a bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting. Although she worked hard, she also liked to play hard. She was known in her younger years, to enjoy hosting parties, even when they didn’t have much food to serve.
In 1972, Esperanza embarked on a new chapter in her life when she moved to the United States. It was here that she discovered a passion for real estate and obtained her license in the field. Throughout her career as an accountant and business owner, she displayed professionalism, integrity, and an unparalleled work ethic. Her dedication to serving others made a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to have crossed paths with her.
While her professional accomplishments were significant, it was within the walls of St. Lorenzo Ruiz Catholic Church that Esperanza found true fulfillment. She dedicated much of her time and energy to this sacred place of faith, where she embraced her role as an active member of the church community. Her devotion to serving others extended beyond the church doors as well; she sought opportunities to make a positive difference wherever she could.
Esperanza's warm spirit radiated from within. She had an infectious smile and laughter that brightened even the darkest days. Her generous nature knew no bounds; she selflessly gave of herself to family, friends, and those in need. The joy she experienced when surrounded by loved ones brought immeasurable happiness into her life.
Above all else, Esperanza cherished her role as a grandmother. The love and pride she felt for her grandchildren, Elijah and Ava, were boundless. She poured her heart into nurturing and guiding them, leaving an unforgettable mark on their lives. Her presence in their lives will forever be treasured.
On December 1, 2023, Esperanza's light dimmed as she peacefully passed away in Cerritos, California. While our hearts ache with sorrow, we find comfort in knowing that she now rests in eternal peace.
