On Sunday, August 13, 2017, Ernesto Carino Sr. passed away and is now with our Beloved Creator and our Lord Jesus Christ. He is also known in the community as "Ernie." To his family, he is "Papa." He was born on May 28, 1945 to Jacob and Eufrosina Carino in the Philippines and he grew up in a small rice farm in the city of Gerona. He immigrated to the United States where he first lived in the Sate of Hawaii and later settled in the city of Palm Springs. He graduated from Palm Springs High School. He married Betty Esteban Carino on May 14, 1967. He worked as a chef at Lyon's English Grill and later Ernie and his wife Betty opened their homes to care for the elderly. Papa will always be remembered by his unmeasurable love for his friends and his family. He always encouraged others to do well, study hard and always love each other.
